Roch Forowicz in his artistic practice is mainly interested in the problems of simulation and urban surveillance – constant observation by monitoring systems and data processing. His activities – especially in the case of projects such as „Interception” or „Surveillance” – is radical, often referred to as illegal „hacktivist” interventions, based on capturing and using surveillance devices against the will of their creators.

Since 2020, he is working at the University of Ecology and Management. In 2007-2020 Roch Forowicz worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Organising Upgrade!Warsaw since 2007-2013. Curator and co-founder of 2.0 Gallery in Warsaw. Participant of many expositions and festivals, such as FILE festival (BR), HAIP Festival (SI), Liwoli09 (AT), Paraflows 09 (AT), Urban Research (DE), Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej – Zamek Ujazdowski (PL), WRO, NInA – Culture 2.0, Komuna Otwock, Copernicus Science Center, Krytyka PolitycznaEntropia Gallery, STUDIO Gallery, Beautiful Lies, WEF, MIK, Katowice Street Art AIR, etc.

Roch Forowicz w swojej praktyce artystycznej interesuje się problemem panoptyzmu oraz symulacji. Jego działalność – szczególnie w przypadku takich projektów jak „Interception” lub „Inwigilacja” – jest radykalna, często określana mianem nielegalnych „hacktywistycznych” interwencji, opierających się na przechwyceniu i wykorzystywaniu urządzeń służących inwigilacji wbrew woli ich twórców.

Od 2020 roku pracuje na Wyższej Szkole Ekologii i Zarządzania w Warszawie. W latach 2007-2020 Roch Forowicz pracował na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Od 2007 roku organizował Upgrade!Warsaw, był kuratorem i współtwórcą Galerii 2.0. Uczestnik wielu wystaw i festiwali, takich jak: FILE festival (BR), HAIP Festival (SI), Liwoli09 (AT), Paraflows 09 (AT), Urban Research (DE), Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej – Zamek Ujazdowski (PL), WRO, NInA – Culture 2.0, Komuna Otwock, Centrum Nauk Kopernik, Krytyka Polityczna, Galeria Entropia, Galeria STUDIO, Beautiful Lies, WEF, MIK, Katowice Street Art AIR, etc.
